Another good location for studying Spanish in Mexico is the Distrito Federal (Federal District), located in central southern Mexico and established in 1824. Bordered by the Sierra de Guadalupe (Guadalupe Mountain Range), the Sierra Nevada and Las Cruces mountains, the region contains some important ruins from the pre-Classic era.
